曹卫星教授,现任南京农业大学智慧农业研究院院长、国务院学位委员会作物学学科评议组共同召集人、全国农业专业学位农业工程与信息技术领域协作组牵头人,全国政协常委,民盟中央副主席。曾任南京农业大学副校长,民盟江苏省委主委,江苏省政协副主席,江苏省政府副省长,国土资源部/自然资源部副部长。

1989年获美国俄勒冈州立大学作物学博士学位,随后在威斯康辛大学做博士后及助理科学家,1994年回国至今在南京农业大学任教授、博士生导师。长期从事作物生态、信息农学、智慧农业等方面的研究工作,尤其在作物系统模拟与设计、作物生长监测与诊断、作物精确栽培等方面取得了突出的成绩。以第一完成人获国家科技进步二等奖3项,部省科技进步一等奖5项;发表SCI收录论文210多篇,出版专著与教材8部,授权国家发明专利41项;培养博士与硕士研究生156名。入选国家杰出青年科学基金、国家百千万人才工程等,荣获中国作物学会科技成就奖等。
